EMSL Analytical is the world´s largest laboratory devoted to the analysis of asbestos by electron microscopy.  Established in 1981, EMSL became a pioneer in asbestos analysis, refining sample preparations techniques and laboratory practices.  In 1984 in an effort to reduce the turnaround on TEM air samples we introduced the currently accepted but then critized 24 hour turnaround; in 1986, same day turnaround time and finally, in 1987, six hour turnaround time.
